7th Central Pay Commission For Wage Revision Latest News Updates:
As we all know the Pay Commission is nothing but the Union Cabinet of India panel of members for review and revision of the salaries for the Government employees.
The Pay Commission was started by the Central Government in the year 1965 and as an administrative committee to determine the salaries of central Government employees.
Earlier the Sixth Pay Commission approved for setting up by the Cabinet under Justice B.N.Srikrishna with a timeframe of 18 months.
It was expected that 6th Pay Commission cost of hikes in salaries would be about Rs. 20,000 crore for a total of 5.5 million Government employees.
Since there is no information from the Central Government regarding the discussion on a 15-point charter of demands that includes revision of wages from 1st January 2011 by setting up of 7th Pay Commission.
On 12th December 2012 All India strike was called by the Confederation of Central Government Employees and Workers regarding the Seventh Central Pay Commission for wage revision and Merger of 50% DA with Pay.
