IPL Highlights: Rajasthan Royals beat Delhi Daredevils by 10 runs

The Ajinkya Rahane-led team beat Daredevils by 10 runs (DLS).

A rain-affected match in Jaipur saw Rajasthan Royals emerging victorious by 10 runs (D/L Method). RR who batted first had to end their innings at 153/5 in 17.5 overs because of rain. When the play resumed, Delhi Daredevils were handed a difficult task of chasing 71 runs in 6 overs and what added to their misery was the wicket of Colin Munro on the very first delivery after a mix-up in the middle with Glenn Maxwell.

Rajasthan Royals produced an all-round performance as they beat Delhi Daredevils by 10 run s(DLS) in a rain-marred match at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium, Jaipur on Wednesday.

On the other hand the Gautam Gambhir-led team still remain without a win. The IPL returned to the Pink City after 2013 but rain played spoilsport for the major part, forcing D/L method to come into play after the hosts were 153/5 in 17.5 overs when it started drizzling.

That’s all from our side for this match. Rajasthan Royals did play this one in a superb manner and applied themselves perfectly. They just need to continue this momentum while DD need to rejig their strategies and plans as they have two defeats in two matches now.

IPL returns to the Sawai Mansingh Stadium, Jaipur after a span of more than 2 years. Emulating the Chennai Super Kings, Rajasthan Royals will also be looking to register a victory on their home turf after a faulty start to their campaign this season.

Delhi Daredevils met a similar fate in their opening fixture against Kings XI Punjab after being thrashed by in the northern derby. Hence, both the teams will have to regroup quickly and will a lot to improve upon. While Delhi will once again bank on skipper Gautam Gambhir to lead from the front, Rajasthan will hope their big guns- D’Arcy Short, Ben Stokes, Jos Buttler can spur them to a much-needed win.
