New 2018 Voter ID List of Chennai Available to Check

The chennai district constituencies voter id list is out today. After the recent roll revision it has 38,01,919 voter in total with 19,24,366 women voters and 18,76,652 female voters.

The revised tn electoral list reports Perambur, the biggest constituency with 3,00,844 voters and the Harbour, smallest constituency with 1,65,610 voters.

The final draft voters list annexure for the sixteen constituencies in Chennai was published today by DEO, District Electoral Officer, D Karthikeyan, at the Ripon Buildings.

Earlier the draft version was announced on 3.10.2017. The office invited applications for the inclusion, deletion, correction of voter list from the public from 3rd October to 15th December 2017.

On 1.1.2018, relying on the direct checking of the applications by the Election Commission officers in-charge of the concerned polling booths, the modifications to the electoral list were updated.

The final draft is made available for public seeing at the voter’s registration office, office of Asst. Commissioner of Chennai Corporation, as well as at the polling stations.

The 16 constituencies total draft list on 3.10.2017 had 38,01,919 voters comprising 18,76,652 men, 19,24,366 women, and 901 transgenders. While the final roll included 20,277 men, 20,309 female, and 20 transpersons totalling 40,606. The total number of application received was 41,485 in 2017 of which 879 applications got rejected. About 2,252 applications for deletion received of which 2,155 names were deleted. Based on SUO-MOTU and on the eligiblity terms nearly 3,10,235 names were taken away. And the deleted voters are 1,56,792 male, 1,55,501 female, and 97 transgenders.
